Abstract: | In this paper, a new estimator for estimating the proportion of a potentially sensitive attribute in survey sampling has been introduced. The proposed estimator makes use of higher order moments of the scrambling variable at the estimation stage. The proposed estimator has been found to be more efficient than the estimator due to Kuk 1990. Asking sensitive questions indirectly. Biomerika 77(2), 436–438] and Franklin 1989.
