民族过程中的同化与认同

民族之间的相互同化与民族内部成员的彼此认同是最重要也是最基本的民族现象。前者与民族一体化、民族融合、民族消亡乃至因民族矛盾与冲突产生的民族问题密不可分;而后者则和民族感情、民族心理、民族意识乃至民族识别、民族政策、民族立法密切相关。民族同化与民族认同之间不仅有联系,还有区别,有时甚至是相互背离的。同化与认同的不协调、不同步甚至相背离,是导致民族问题相互矛盾又并行不悖的症结所在,充分反映了民族问题的复杂性。

On the National Assimilation and Identity

In the formation of a nationality, the assimilation between different ethnic groups or among the members of one ethnic group and their identity are the most important and basic factors. The former is closely related to the unity, fusion, disappearance of different ethnic groups and to their contradictions and conflicts. The latter is closely related to the ethnic feelings, psychology, consciousness, identity, policies and legislation. This assimilation is related to its identity but they are different or even the opposite of each other, which causes unbalanced development and ethnic contradictions or complicated ethnic problems.
