| Abstract: | Translation is a cultural activity. Translation promotes the development of the target culture while it is affected or even manipulated by the target culture. It helps enrich the target language and the target literary genres; it spreads science and technology and helps generate the ideological changes in the target culture. But what source texts to be chosen and what translating strategies to be used are determined by the target culture. |
