Study for Durkheim's Theory on Sociology of Law and Its Significance

As a founder of sociology,Durkheim has profoundly influenced the development of sociology.To introduce his unique perspectives,classification methods and other main issues,and to explain the practical significance of the theory,the paper summarizes his theory on sociology of law through textual studies.Stressing the force of collective consciousness,the correspondence between law and social solidarity,and the social functions of law,Durkheim’s theory has significant reference value for the analysis of social issues in China,especially the legal issues in transition period,as well as for the progress of ruling by law.
