| Abstract: | This paper intended to probe into the metaphor meaning in Chinese and English idioms from the perspective of conceptual metaphor.It researched into the topic from three aspects： cooking utensils,cooking techniques and food raw materials.The purpose of this paper is to help language learners understand Chinese and Western diet culture better,and help them make efficient intercultural communication. |
