The Success of Running School of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology and Its Enlightenment from the Perspectives of Strategic Innovation

Under the guidance of the strategic innovation,Hong Konfg University of Science and Technology has been one of the famous research universities through 20 years’ rapid development.Its growth has created a miracle in the history of university development,and has greatly shocked and changed the traditional ideas of university development and running schools.The article discusses the major reasons for its rapid development by analyzing its orientation accuracy,advantage of the cultivation of discipline and strategy of academic excellence from the perspective of strategic innovation.Finally some enlightenment and reference based on the strategic innovation are proposed for the development of mainland universities,especially for the construction of high-level universities.
