| Abstract: | In The Return of the Native by Thomas Hardy, Clym Yeobright's fate seems to follow that of Prometheus and King Oedipus and the heroine Eustacia, full of mystical glamour and characteristics of Queen of Tragedy in the myth. The Return of the Native is written from the prototypical allusion of mythology, fully displaying Hardy's unique view on fatalism. |
