The Interpretation of Nihilism in Hemingway's Short Novels

Ernest Hemingway,like other novelists in 1920s,reflected by the philosophy of extentialism,makes deep thought of the living existence state and value throughout his life. He penetrates his philosophical thought in his early short novels,reveals the disillusion and desperation towards western ideology. His novels present us a nihilistic and irrational world. This paper makes an analysis on the philosophy of extentialism through the form of death,affliction,and absurdity,reflected in his short novels.
