| 摘 要： | 本文从中医基本原理、病症与诊疗、中药与方剂以及养生保健等四个方面的内容入手,分析霍克斯《红楼梦》英译本中医药文化的翻译策略与方法,发现霍克斯并没有拘泥于异化或归化的翻译策略,而是采取灵活多变的翻译方法,包括音译、直译、意译、增译和减译等。

| Abstract: | This paper analyses the translation strategies and approaches used by Hawkes in translating traditional Chinese medicine culture in The Story of the Stone from four aspects：the traditional Chinese medicine fundamental principle,diseases and diagnosis,Chinese medicine and medicinal formulae,and health preservation.Hawks has used flexible approaches,including transliteration,literal translation,free translation,amplification and omission,instead of being confined to domestication or foreignization. |
