Outstanding Chinese Traditional Culture and Harmonious Society

The development of the satellite towns in Beijing has stepped into a new stage, playing an important role in par-taking the functions of the primary urban areas, and in fueling the growth of various industries. However, some problems still exist. In this paper the authors propose the following countermeasures: firstly, urban areas characterized by major industries should be built. Secondly, a system of pillar industries in satellite towns should be built to fuel the industrialization and infrastructure construction. Thirdly, following the trend of de-urbanization, the satellite towns could share some functions of the primary urban areas. Fourthly, some innovations should be made in organization patterns for satellite towns. And finally, the satellite towns should take the leading roles in the process of urbanization through a way of system innovations.
