In the special circumstances of the 1940s, the romantic trend once again acquired a rather sufficient space to circle around and therefore it came back. Guo Moruo re-evaluated romanticism and he had a bumper harvest of historical plays in line with romanticism in his creation. In the realistic ideas of literature in general, the romantic factors began to be fused, and in different regions there appeared the creation with romantic elements of different features. The return of the romantic trend in the 1940s has much to do with the relationship between the change of social situation and the development of literature. As a literary phenomenon, it is of the internal unification and the particular features. The developmental law made clear by such a return is worth our deep thinking.
