Reviewing Sect Novels of the United States in the Twentieth Century

The changeable and gloomy situations in the early twentieth century, especially, the second world war had a great influence upon the American society, which made American novels develop traversely and formed sect novels of many different styles. It seemed that the realistic tradition in the early years was almost driven out of the literary arena. However, many famous novelists whose writing atitudes were serious did not give up realism. In fact, their works were basicly created in the light of it. Plentiful sects, rich themes, different art styles led the creation of American novels into an unprecedentedly grand occation.
