Chinese Futures Manket: Historical Review of Ten Years and Prospect of Development

As a sign of establishment of our futures market in China, Zhengzhou Cereal Wholesale Market set up on October 12, 1990. From then on our futures market has taken unusual ten years to make experiments. Going through all kinds of difficulties and growing out of nothing, our futures market has opened up a development path both from small to large and from confusion to organization. This article tries to give an objective evaluation on the experimental development process of ten years in our futures market at the special moment, and presents several policy choices for further development of our futures market on the basis of the above.
