| Abstract: | In this article firstly the basic concepts of finite status machine （FSM） are introduced briefly. Then the idea that FSM could be used to design program or program module of certain types of microcontroller is put forward, followed by the comparison between the conventional method and the new method. At last, the merits and demerits in the application of FSM are presented. |
