| Abstract: | Attracting philanthropic donations is a strategic imperative for many hospitals. A hospital can manage the giving process most effectively by developing a well‐managed hospital foundation. This study examines the hospital foundation strategy and performance relationship. Using a sample of 258 hospital foundations we identified different strategies and significant performance differences among them. |
