| Abstract: | Analyses on current conditions of translation teaching in colleges show that less attention has been paid to the skills for and theories on translation in traditional teaching scheme, which results in students' inadequate exposure to theories on translation and translating practice. Elaboration on syntactical differences between Chinese and English seems to be one of the effective ways to better the student's translating ability and improve the level of English teaching. |
