文化是一个包罗万象的概念，其中涵盖了经验、感知、知识、科学、技术理论和教育以及语言。然而，文化具有明显的民族性。这点可以反映在诸如语言变体等方面。颜色词汇早巳经被用于研究不同语言和文化之间的关系。由于文化背景的差异，中西方在颜色词汇的具体使用及内涵方面，还有很大的区别。

A comparative study of the colour terms in Chinese and English words

Culture is an all - embracing category, including all the experiences, perceptions, knowledge, science, technologies and theory, education and languages. However, culture has markedly ethical characteristics, which can be reflected in such aspects as language variations, etc. Colour terminology has already been used to explore the relationships between different languages and cultures. There are great existing differences between China and the West on the specific use and connotation of colour terms due to diverse culture back- grounds. This paper will delve in the various uses of colour terms both in English and in Chinese languages, and in the internal between the two as well.
