This thesis observes WuMi's study of A Dream of Red Chamber from the development of modern fiction criticism.In the author's opinion,when the fiction criticism of pragmatic utilitarianism and science positivism was prosperous in the literary circles and interfered with the study of A Dream of Red Chamber powerfully,WuMi insisted on the comparative literature position and developed Wang Guowei's idea of interpreting the value and meaning of fictions from the view of philosophy and aesthetics.Furthermore,he m...
