明清时期徽州地区灌溉水利的发展

明清时期,徽州地区粮食供应严重不足,并且,该地区河流易盈易涸,塘堰易于冲击、淤塞。面对这不利的自然条件,徽州地区的灌溉水利有明显的发展,体现在塘堰灌溉工程数量的增多、塘额的大幅度扩大、对旧有塘堰工程的修治、对水资源利用的扩大与改进等方面。

Development of irrigation in Anhui area in the Ming and Qing dynasties

During the period of the Ming and Qing Dynasties,the grain supply was serious insufficient in Anhui Area,and the river tended to flood this year and/or dry next year,and reservoirs were easy to burst or cloge with silt.Faced with the disadvantageous natural condition,people had developed the irrigation conservation,which is reflected in such aspects as the increased number of irrigation projects,the large scale expansion of the reservoir,the repairs to the old and small reservoir projects,and the improvement in water resource uses.This paper expects to enrich the social history research on the Anhui Area with regional characteristics through the irrigation conservation inspection in that area.
