Yuan Zhongdao and Jingling-School: the fusion of the natural inspiration theory and the style theory

To rectify the simplicity and vulgarity of the Gong'an-School,Both Zhong Xing,Tan Yuanchun of the Jingling-School and Yuan Zhongdao proposed again imitations of the ancient,advocating the implicitness and vigorousness of Tang poetry;on the other hand,they proposed comprehension of the spirit of the ancient in order to avoid the Seven-scholar School's copy of external form of Tang poetry.Their entirely fresh and profound studies expanded the scope of Tang poetry acceptance.They intended to seek a medial way for the development of Tang poetics,which symbolize the fusion of the Natural Inspiration Theory and the Style Theory.
