隐喻能力培养:大学英语教学的新途径

摘    要:隐喻能力是人们熟练掌握一种语言的重要标志,英语教学中隐喻能力的培养应从建构英语隐喻思维模式,积累常规隐喻词汇,加强目的语文化导入以及完善教学评价体系等方面着手,全面增强英语学习者的语言综合实际运用能力。

Abstract:The modern research on metaphor holds the view that metaphor is not only a rhetoric device, but also the foundation of human’s cognition, thought, language and behavior. Metaphoric competence is an important indication of the mastery of a language. In view of present inefficient college English teaching, the cultivation of metaphoric competence is of great necessity and importance. The cultivation of metaphoric competence should cover the construction of themetaphoric ideation mode, the accumulation of conventional metaphoric expressions, the cultural introduction of the target language and the perfection of English teaching assessment system, aiming to enhance the English learners’comprehensive practical capability.
