试论山东文学的总体特征

山东古代与二十世纪文学的总体特征于承传性中又呈现出各自的不同面貌,走过了自先秦至唐五代的肇端,再及北宋到南宋前期、明中叶到清初、二十世纪八十年代到该世纪末三次高潮的漫长发展历程。山东文学所体现的美学精神的基本内核,是强烈的社会参与意识及对于现实生活和普通人生命运的执着关注。深重的忧患感、坚守道德理性和现实实践品格,是每一代山东作家的一个共同特点。

A Tentative Study of the Overall Characteristics of Literature in Shandong

The ancient literature and the 20th-century literature in Shandong can be traced to the same origin despite their specific characteristics. Shandong's literature takes shape in the historical period between the pre-Qin days and the Tang dynasty, undergoing three climaxes respectively in periods between North Song dynasty and early South Song dynasty, between mid-Ming dynasty and early Qing dynasty, and between 1980s and the end of the 20th century. The aesthetic kernel manifested in Shandong's literature is the strong sense of social participation and the consistent concern over real life and the destinies of average people. A strong sense of hardships, persistence in moral rationality, and realistic characters are the characteristics shared by generations and generations of Shandong's writers.
