How to Deal with Long Sentences in the Translation from English to Chinese

In translation practice , one important principle a translator should observe is that the version must be faithful to the original text, e. g. faithful to the contents, style of the original and its linguistic feature as well. By virtue of this principle, this paper deals with the necessity , feasibility and the techniques in the translation of long sentences so as to make the version similar to the original in linguistic feature as much as possible.
