The Organizational Design in the New Economy

Beginning with the developmental trend to the New Economy, the writer of the article describes the two basic elements of the New Economy: the knowledge economy and the globalization. Their outstanding characteristics are discussed, while the focus is put on the far flung influence of these new characteristics on the organizational design. The trend is to be more flattened, be more flexible, rely more on network and virtual organizations.
