自产生之初。20世纪中国文学中的现代性元素就包括两个方面的内涵：个体自由、个性解放与拯救民族危亡实现整体现代转型交织在一起。至20世纪三四十年代，后者对前者形成强势压制，激烈吁求自由与个性的知识分子纷纷向各种群体回归。

The Modernity of Chinese Literature in the First Half of the 20th Century and Its Effect

Since the beginning of the twentieth Century,the modern elements Chinese literature has included two aspects.The individual enlightenment and liberty is entwined with a strong sense of national crisis and an urgent need for the modernizing transformation.To the thirty or forty of the 20th Century,the later has formed a strong suppression on the former.Consequently,intellectuals seeking liberty and individuality were urged to return to various collectivities.
