| Abstract: | Language is a major means of communication, and English has now become a global language. With the position of the USA in the world being further strengthened, it is of imperative significance that the differences between AE and BE are explored so that the English language can be effectively used in communication. This paper is a contrastive study of AE and BE in the three areas of phonetics, vocabulary and grammar. |
