From 'Education for Society' to 'Society for Education'——A Contrastive Probe into Fukuzawa Yukichi's and Daisaku Ikeda's Perspectives on Education

Modern Japanese educationist,Fukuzawa Yukichi,contributed greatly to the independence of Japanese nation and to a certain extent led to Jjapan's extreme nationalism,national richness and military strength,and invasion of adjacent countries.What he advocated was 'education for society'.While contemporary Japanese educationalist,Daisaku Ikeda,advocates 'society for education'.He is devoted to an education that contributes to the construction of world peace and opposes wars and invasion,an education that cherishes life and treats life as the supreme thing.
