《歧路灯》中的排行称谓

排行称谓是汉语言中的一个特殊现象,即把个人在家族中的排行顺序用于人际称谓.它的直接作用就是将同辈亲属的长幼次序分出来,或者将上下行辈的关系示明.作为古代宗法制度的产物,排行称谓充分体现了长幼有序的伦理道德.本文主要结合《歧路灯》相关语料,从"长幼"、"行辈"两个方面,就排行称谓的分类、特点、构成、运用等进行了简要分析,并对书中"老"、"第"在排行称谓中的独特用法进行了初步考证.

Seniority Terms in A Beacon out of a Crossroad

Seniority(among brothers and sisters) terms,in which ranks in a family are used to address others,are special phenomenon in Chinese.Their direct role is to follow seniority order in the relatives of the same generation,or to clearly indicate the relationships between the persons of different generations.As a product of the ancient patriarchal clan system,seniority terms well reflect the ethical morality of respect for seniority.This paper,based on the relevant materials in A Beacon out of a Crossroad,briefly analyzes the classification,characteristics,compositions and usage of seniority terms from the perspectives of seniority and positions in the family hierarchy,and has a preliminary textual research into the unique usage of "lao" and "di" in seniority terms.
