郭象命运论及其意义

摘    要:郭象认为,“性分”与“时遇”的结合构成了人的命运。由于“时遇”的本质是众生的“性分”所致,且无法探究,因此将个人的“性分”视为命运的终极动因,并以“致命由己”为题概括其命运论。该论彻底否定一切宇宙神秘力量存在,是汉唐之际无神论命运学说的巅峰之作。

Abstract:Guo Xiang believes that the destiny of human beings is the integration of Shiyu(fortune and opportunity,what is proper at the time)and Xingfen (individual nature).Because the essence of Shiyu is the result of Xingfen and is beyond human exploration,the individual nature is considered as the ultimate motivation of the destiny.Guo Xiang named that theory Zhimingyouji(one causes destiny himself.),which denied the existence of any mysterious cosmic force and became the peak expression of atheism in the Hah-Tang dynasties.
