周作人与非宗教运动

众所周知,五四时期的周作人对宗教是相当热心的,但1922年春天爆发的声势浩大的“非基督教运动”却使他从这种宗教的兴奋中清醒过来。在非宗教运动中,周作人对现代知识分子掩藏在无神论外衣下的准宗教情绪进行了深刻的反省和批判,他所强调的“理性的反抗才是一切革命的精神的本源”以及“专制的狂信”是东方文化中最大的毒害等,对我们今天研究现代中国知识分子的宗教情绪以及革命与宗教意识形态的关系等仍具有重要的参考价值。

Zhou Zuoren and non-religious movement

It is common knowledge that Zhou Zuoren was very enthusiastic about religion,but the non-Christian movement broke out in the spring of 1922 made him sober-minded.During the movement,Zhou Zuoren undertook incisive introspection and criticism to modern intellectuals quasi-religious sentiments under the cloak of atheism.Zhou Zuoren's strong arguments that "only rational rebellion was the source of all revolutionary spirits" and "dictatorial fanaticism" was the worst poison of the Orient culture and so on,still have important value to our studies about modern Chinese intellectuals' religious sentiments and the relations between revolution and religious ideology.
