| 摘 要： | 《阿拉比》是詹姆斯·乔伊斯小说集《都柏林人》中一篇反映少年心理变化的短篇小说。小说讲述了一个都柏林少年对同伴的姐姐产生了朦胧的爱情,在经过漫长而又焦急的等待之后,最终以爱情幻想破灭而告终的故事。文章分析了《阿拉比》背景氛围与人物心理的对立以及隐喻和象征所反映的人物心理变化和冲突,说明小说正是在对立与冲突中突显主题,从而揭示乔伊斯独特的叙事技巧。

| Abstract: | Araby, reflecting the psychological growth of a teenager, is one of the short stories Dubliners by James Joyce. It is about a Dublin boy who falls in love with his friend's sister, but such love illusion is broken finally after he goes to the bazaar to buy a gift for the girl. This paper analyzes the contrast between setting atmosphere and the main character's psychology and the conflict of the character' inner heart expressed by the metaphors and symbols which have well illuminated the theme in 'Araby' and tries to display Joyce's special narrative technique . |
