论文学翻译的形式对等

受传统文学批评理论影响,在翻译实践中,文本形式较之于内容,往往被人们有意无意地予以忽视或重视不够。但文学文本之所以具有艺术性,很大程度上取决于文本内容的载体——形式。形式本身是文学艺术的必要构成成分。译者能否成功再现译出语的艺术形式,决定着文学翻译的成败。在文学翻译的众多层次中,文学语言的声韵、结构和文学意象是三个基本层面。在翻译过程中能否准确把握这三个层面决定着能否再现原文艺术风采。

On Formal Equivalence in Literary Translation

Influenced by traditional literary criticism, literary forms, compared with the content of the text, are often less considered or even discredited in translating practice by concentrating exclusively on the latter. But to a larger extent it is the form that makes literature literary. Literary language has some of its own lexicon and phraseology as well as some grammatical forms. The quality of literary translation is therefore largely determined by to what extent the translator makes the original forms of the literature text equivalent with that of the target. This paper tries to attach the due importance of the literary forms in translating practice by analyzing examples on the three levels of sound, structure and literary imagery.
