摘    要:早期来华新教传教士在艰难探索对华传教之路过程中,认知引荐西方教育模式能够改变中国“墨守成规”的教育制度与“停滞不前的文化”,并影响年轻一代的观念,有利于基督教传播。他们逐步探索出改造中国教育的基本思路并进行具体实践,取得明显效果,对后来的教会学校教育具有深远的指导意义,并在客观上推动中国传统教育的变革。

Abstract:In their effort to explore the method of preaching to the Chinese people, the early Protestant missionaries came to realize that the introduction of Western education system could help reform Chinese education system and culture, and influence a new generation favorably to Christianity. They gradually worked out a general idea of reforming Chinese traditional education and made actual practice with success, which created a new era of modem church education and stimulated the evolution of Chinese education system.
