从作者的意图和读者的需求论述翻译目的论

目的论是雷斯的学生威密尔突破对等理论的限制,以文本目的为翻译过程的第一准则,发展的功能派主要理论:目的论。翻译目的论是一种较新的西方翻译理论模式,且目前在国内也广为流传。从西方翻译目的论入手,本文从作者的意图和读者的需求目的两个角度论述了译者选用翻译方法的的两中个基本出发点,即译者应根据翻译作品的目标读者和语篇功能来决定翻译方法。同时,本文还论述目的论对实用文献英汉互译的指导作用。翻译目的论为一些违反翻译标准但实用的翻译方法提供了理论依据,也对扩大翻译研究的范围有一定的启发作用。

On Skopos Theory of Translation from the Authors' Intention and the Readers' Demand

Skopos theory,serving as the central theory of Germany functionalism,is an approach to translation which developed in Germany by Vermeer,the student of Reiss.It defined translation as a purposeful human activity that takes place in a given situation.Skopos theory,as a relatively new translation theory originated from western countries,is now also popular in Chinese translation arena.In the light of Skopos theory,the author of this thesis discussed the two basic points which a translator should consider when selecting translation method,namely,writer’s purpose and readers’ need.Furthermore,Skopos theory emphasizes pragmatic aspects of translation and therefore provides a guideline for the translation of non-literary practical text types and offers a theory basis for further translation research.
