The Formation of Euro Single Currency Areaand Its Enlightenments for China's Economy

The duly advent of Euro in 1999 marks the final formation of Euro Single Currency Area. However, the starting of Euro does not necessarily mean the complete success of currency integration. In fact, Euro Single Currency Area does not meet the demands needed by the Optimum Currency Area. The paper analyses the conditions of formation required by the Optimum Currency Area and adjustment mechanism and means that Euro Single Currency Area has taken to attain this goal. The analysis has enlightenments for the development of China's economy.
