| 摘 要： | 文章着重讨论了新词的定义,通过大量新词分析英汉新词产生的原因以及它们的共同发展趋势。研究表明:英语和汉语的新词都呈系列化趋势,并且形式趋向简洁。新词的概念是一个连续体,一端是临时造词,另一端是完全词汇化。新词只有经过时间的检验才能完全词汇化,从而被词典收录。

| Abstract: | The present essay studies the definition of neologisms. The essay also analyzes the cause of their formation and their common characteristics in development. The research shows these new words are produced in clusters and tend to be shorter in spelling. The neologisms resemble a continuum, of which one end is temporary coinage and the other end is complete accepted. Only after a certain period of time can the neologisms become the entries in a dictionary. |
