大唐西域：作为想象共同体的他者转变

西域作为中原文化整体想象的结果,在东方文化的价值体系中曾经长期承担的作为东方文化的互补和参照的功能。在大唐帝国时期，中原文化达到了它的鼎盛时期，形成了以中原文化为中心的东亚文明，在这样的背景下，西域实际上已逐步融入了中原文化，西域以西替代了曾经的西域的角色，也就是说西域实现了由他者向自我的角色转变。通过理解作为与东方文化相对的西域文化，对于理解今天的新疆地区的文化，东方文化和西方文化的关系，具有重要的作用。

THE WESTERN REGIONS OF CHINA IN TANG DYNASTY: THE CONVERSION TO THE OTHER AS AN IMAGINARY COMMUNITY

The Western Regions of China, as the result of integral conception of Chinese culture, had been playing a complementary and consultable role for a long time in the value system of oriental culture. Chinese culture reached its peak in Tang Dynasty while then East-Asia civilization whose essence is Chinese culture came into being. Under this circumstance, the Western Regions of China had actually integrated into Chinese culture step by step. The role of the Western Regions of China had been replaced by western part to it, that is, the Western Regions of China had realized its conversion from the other to self. To understand the culture of Western Region is of great significance to the understanding of the present regional culture of Xinjiang and the relationship between oriental culture and western culture.
