关于西方史学史研究的开拓与创新——写在六卷本《西方史学通史》出版之际

中国的西方史学史研究始于20世纪20年代,先贤李大钊为此作出了开创性的贡献,60年代前期是它的奠立时期,至中国新时期已取得了长足的进步。为了中国的西方史学史研究的开拓创新,当下必须重新认识它的重要性,即它的理论意义与学术价值。注重史学思想、并重历史观与史学观、关注西方史学史之史、重视中西史学交流史和马克思主义史学史的研究等项,是本文作者近年来思考或正在付诸实践的建设路径。在这行进过程中,当然需要唯物史观的指引,反之唯物史观也应充分汲取西方史学的学术成果以丰富自己,在互动与回应中实现各自的发展。
