摘    要:评估是根据一定的目的和标准,采取科学的态度和方法,对教育工作中的活动、人员、管理的状态与活动的绩效进行质和量的价值判断.评估的宗旨是提供一种评估理念,帮助指导教学和开展评估实践,配合学校制定教学计划、进行教学和学习评价.评估的目的在于反思教育是否为学生的发展提供良好的环境和条件,反思教学效果及人才对社会的实用性.复合型外语人才的考评应建立在有效的导向机制、有力的制约机制、科学的评估机制、广泛的社会参与机制上.

Abstract:Assessment is a systematic process, it is gaining significance in English education. By doing assessment, a particular level of performance is set which candidates must reach if they are to be judged as "competent"and be able to use it freely in the future. Meanwhile, assessment is a kind of social action, it provides information and help to increase the probabilitythat English learners can apply their knowledge for society.
