现在“是一个不需要经典的时代”吗——对季广茂教授《经典的黄昏与庶民的戏谑》的学术批评

尽管《经典的黄昏与庶民的戏谑》中也有一些正确的说法,但从总的情况看,却存在着诸多背离学理的地方——或以偏概全,或自相矛盾,或不符事实,或证据不足,或任性发挥,或随意指摘,或强词夺理。就其“不需要经典”的这一核心观点而言,在认识上是“假”的,而在价值上则是“负”的。对作为人类文化遗产的一个重要组成部分的“经典”,恰当且较为有益的做法是根据人类社会的变迁和文化进步的要求重新加以诠释,并在富于洞察力的诠释基础上区分出不同“文本”的价值差异,以此来决定增减。

Abstracts and Key Words of Major Articles Don't We Need Classics Now?——An Academic Criticism of Ji Guangmao's Dusk's Classics and Plebeians'Jocosity

It is true that Dusk's Classics and Plebeians' Jocosity has some correct statements,but there are many parts running counter to the academic principles,for instance,making sweeping criticisms,self-contradiction,inadequate evidence,spontaneous remarks,random criticism,and fallacious reasoning.Ji's central idea that classics are unnecessary is “false” in cognition and “negative” in value.The proper way to treat “classics” is to reinterpret them according to the transformations of human society and the requirements of cultural progress,and discover the value differences of various texts on the basis of insightful observations.
