“小词”与“尊体”两种词学观之得失

词本作为各种宴会活动的歌曲而兴,这使它与传统的诗歌功能截然相反,人们称之为“小词”,却使他获得了一种解放的气息,在艺术内容、风格和方法上都有新的创造;而其发展走的是向传统诗学靠拢的路子,“尊体”成为追求的主流,在内容和格调上也确实得到了极大的开拓和提升。从前只肯定后者,其实两种观念各有得失。

Gain and Loss in the Lexicological Conceptions of "Small Words" and "Respectful Style

The Ci poetry is originally begun as songs of entertainment in banquets. This makes its function totally opposite to the traditional poems, which are called xiaoci( small words). On the contrary, it has obtained a new kind of emancipation. In the artistic content, characteristics and forms, it has a significant exploration. Meanwhile, its developing trend draws close to the traditional poetics. A classical type of literary words becomes the principal aspect of pursuit. Indeed, in the content and characteristic style, it also has great exploration and progress. Before this period, the classical type was the only aspect to be confirmed, and the fact is that these two ideas have their own merits and faults.
