| 摘 要： | 佐哈尔的多元系统翻译理论提出，翻译研究要不再局限于对翻译文本本身的研究，而是把目光投射到译作的发起者、翻译文本的操作者和接受者身上来研究翻译。利用此理论，分析赛珍珠本人、美国当时的接受语境，可以解释其在翻译《水浒传》时所采取的翻译策略以及其译本在当时的美国大受欢迎的原因。

| Abstract: | The Polysystem theory, put forward by Even-Zohar, emphasizes that translation study should not be restricted to the translated text, the sponsor, the manipulator and the receptors of the translated texts should be taken into consideration. Application of this theory to analyzing the translator, the literary context in US and the translation technique can give a satisfactory explanation to the popularity of ＂All Men Are Brothers＂ translated by Pearl S. Buck in the US. |
