| 摘 要： | 燕肃是宋仁宗时期的一位官员科学家,同时也是优秀的诗人和画家。他的大部分时间都耗费在了地方官的职务上,科学研究只是他的业余爱好。在科学研究方面,他追求精密,注重研究成果的实用性,曾著有《海潮论》,绘有《海潮图》,发明了莲花漏法,制造了指南车、记里鼓车、欹器等,是一名技术实践者。

| Abstract: | Yan Su,an official,scientist,poet and painter under the reign of Emperor Renzong in Song Dynasty,spent most time on his official responsibilities and little time on scientific research.Though scientific research was his pastime hobby,he attached great importance to precision and practical applicability of research fruits.He wrote On Sea Tide,painted Pictures of Sea Tide,and invented lotus-formed water clock,southward pointing cart,mile-recording drum cart,and leaning machine. |
