“假借”也是一种造字的方法

“假借”是东汉许慎在《说文解字序》中阐释的“六书”理论之一，后人的解读众说纷纭。“假借”究竟属于造字法，还是属于用字法，成为论争的焦点。从实例分析中得到证明，我们应该把“假借”视为汉字演变的过程，它是汉字的使用方法之一：但从“假借”过程的结果来看，它又创造了一批新的汉字（同“形”而且同“音”）。

The Phonetic Loan Character and Making Word Theory

The phonetic loan character is one of the ＂Liushu （六书）＂ theories. The different viewpoints about the theory continued for a long time. The focus of the differences pointed to the phonetic loan character which belonged to making word theory or usage word theory. This paper proves the attributions of phonetic loan character by analyzing the instances. The phonetic loan character belongs to usage word theory in the process of loaning. It attributes to making word theory in the result of loaning. The phonetic loan character remains with both making word theory and usage word theory.
