追溯哲学的源头活水——“中国哲学的合法性”问题再讨论

十年前"中国哲学的合法性"问题讨论之所以不了了之,是因为不论是提出质疑者,还是为之辩护者,都事先预设了所谓"哲学"的某种固定标准模式,即哲学之"法"或"迹",而没有触及哲学之"所以为法"、"所以迹"的问题,即没有触及哲学的源头活水——生活或存在及哲学由此源头活水而流变的问题。这就使得所谓"哲学"成为了一种凝固不变的、与现实生活无关的东西,成为了一种关于"器"而不是"道"的言说,从而丧失了存在的开放性、发展的可能性。中国哲学学科发展的核心任务,既不是回到前现代的形而上学,也不是遵从后现代主义的拒绝形而上学,而是从当今世界、当今社会的现实生活出发,去重建形而上学。

Going Upstream to the Source of Philosophy:One More Debate on "The Legitimacy of Chinese Philosophy"

The dispute about "the legitimacy of Chinese philosophy" ten years ago ended up fruitless,because both the questioners and defenders had presupposed some static criterion of philosophy model that is only "the law" or "the footmark" of philosophy,instead of being "the origin of legislation" or "the origin of tracks".In this sense,they didn’t touch the headstream of philosophy,that is,life and existence as the core of philosophical concern,thus turning philosophy into something static and irrelevant to life,something considered to be implements(Qi) instead of an interpretation of The Way(Dao).This kind of philosophy lost the openness and possibility for development.Therefore,the central task for us to promote Chinese philosophy as a discipline is neither to go back to the metaphysics of pre-modernism nor to refuse any metaphysics as post-modernists do,but to reconstruct metaphysics out of the real life in the world today.
