| 摘 要： | 城市化的进程促使得“村”的含义也在发生着种种变化，“城中村”就是历史文化变迁的产物。根据英汉两种语言的权威词典，结合特定的时代背景，“自然村”的等值翻译应是village；“城中村”最贴近的对等词不是village、estate和settlement，而是urban farmer community。

| Abstract: | Cun is a word with special Chinese characteristics, and cheng zhong cun is a result of the process of urbanization. However, the translations of cun and cheng zhong cun differ greatly. Based on explanations of authoritative dictionaries and encyclopedias, this article discusses translations of cun with the theory of information equivalence, pointing out that the closest equivalent for the Chinese word curt is village, and the closest equivalent for the Chinese word cheng zhong curt is not village, estate or settlement but urban farmer community. |
