| 摘 要： | 词语是意义的载体 ,也是文化的载体。它如同一面镜子 ,反映出不同民族文化的特点。本文采用跨文化对比的方法 ,探讨并例证了英汉两种文化的共性和个性在词语层面上的反映 ,文章还讨论了在原文涉及的语言和文化因素与译语差别较大的情况下 ,英汉形象化词语的翻译方法。

| Abstract: | Words are carriers of culture meanings. Like a mirror, they reflect the features of different cultures. This paper explores the reflection of similarities and differences between Chinese and English cultures at the level of Lexis through intercultural contrastive studies. It also proposes some flexible and feasible solutions to the issue of image translation between Chinese and English. |
