解构镜下－－评《死者》中的重复

本文运用解构理论 ,分析了乔伊斯短篇小说《死者》 ,指出重复作为一种古老的修辞格在文本中发挥了独特的作用 ,它使文本语言含糊而又对立。不明确的语言又导致了结局的含糊 ,各种权威性的观点都难以解释结局。但是没有确切的结局正是小说的成功之处。

A Comment on Repetition in The Dead

By applying deconstructive theory, this paper analyses The Dead, a short story written by Joyce, and points out that repetition,as a figure of speech, plays a vital role making the textual language both ambiguous and conflicting. Due to the indefinite language the story has an indefinite outcome and none of the authoritative perspectives can decode the final result of the story. The paper concludes that the story's strong appeal lies in its indefinite outcome.
