| Abstract: | The science and technology of ancient china was compartatively very advanced. From the middle of the 16thcentury ,however, the development of science in china began to be at standstill .The main reasons are the restrictions from the feudal education system and the imperial examination system ,the obstruction from the small-scale peasant economy and the defects in the science and technology of ancient china. |
