对当前及今后一个时期农民收入增长问题的思考

 自1997年以来，农民收入增长速度连年下滑：1997年农村居民人均纯收入实际增长速度是4.6%，你1996年下降了4.4个百分点，1998年增长速度回落到4.3%,1999年进一步回落到3.8%。农民收入增长持续走低，抑制了农村消费，成为影响国民经济可持续发展和社会稳定的重要因素。如何促使农民收入增长止跌回升？是当前社会各界关注的焦点问题之一。

Reflection on the increase in farmer's income at present and later on

The author analyses the reason for the slow down of farmer's income growth rate. He suggests that the agriculture is no longer the main source of farmer's income growth, neither likely to improve its potential to increase income through structure adjustment. Therefore, the only solution is seeking to develop the non agricultural industries in rural area and transfer the rural population in mass.
